La fabbrichetta is a common space where people are invited to share their thoughts on contemporary self-production, its ways, meanings and different realizations. What is it that still makes us fall in love with ink & paper?
La fabbrichetta is a makeshift workshop where everything is handmade.
The tutors will take participants on a creative journey starting with the creation of printing tools (i.e. printing frames and pads) to an in-depth expressive research that will lead to the creation of flags representing the identity of different places (either real or of the imagination).
Mixing and matching 3 different printing techniques (silkscreen, monotype and pad printing) they will investigate on the need of self-publishing, because we print to express ourselves without being interrupted.
During the workshop participants will explore a number of different printing techniques, as well as ways to express themrselves in order to be able to create at any time, in any place with any idea.
During the workshop, participants will learn:
– How to create silkscreen frames and printing pads
– Silkscreen printing
– Monotype printing
– Pad printing
– Iconographic research & image creation
